Student & Parent Resources > Extended Care

The Saint Charles School Extended Care Program is designed to support our families by offering its students quality care in a safe and Christian environment. Our program offers designated time to relax, complete homework, and play. Our program is supervised by experienced staff.

Schedule

Extended Care hours are from school dismissal to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. Our staff members are employed until 6:00 pm; a fee will be assessed for late pick-ups. Parents should call to notify us if they are to be late.

Payments

Parents/Guardians will be billed at the end of the month. Payments are due by the 10th of the month. Fees are to be paid on time to insure the efficiency of the program. Please note that children will not be allowed to attend Extended Day Care unless their bill is paid each month.

Check in/out procedures

Students will be signed in by an aide or teacher and must be signed out by an authorized adult at pick-up time.

Parent Responsibilities

A child will only be released to the parents and/or an authorized adult. There must be written authorization in order for a child to be released to another person. Parent cooperation is essential for the effective care of the child. We hope for your continued support. Please bring any concerns to the supervisors in regards to behavior, health and attitude of the children. The director will call if there are any problems. If there are circumstances of legal or visiting rights, this must be writing to the St. Peter School administrators and the Extended Care must have a copy for our records.

Discipline

Although the Extended Care program provides an information setting, the same behavioral rules that apply to the students during the normal school day will be observed during the program time. If a child is consistently misbehaving he/she will not be allowed to use this service. We ask that students do not use their cell phones during their time in Extended Care; please contact the Extended Care supervisor if you need to get in touch with your child.

Emergency Procedures

If medical attention is necessary, the person authorized on the emergency sheet will be contacted.
